Programme Development at a Glance

The Programme Design Studio gives your programme team one shared place to plan a programme, develop its modules, complete review, and prepare QQI documentation.

You do not need to complete everything at once. The studio guides the programme through a series of stages and shows what needs attention next.

  1. Create: Start a blank programme or import content from a SocratIQ JSON file.
  2. Set up: Complete Identity, Programme outcomes, Programme versions, and Modules and electives.
  3. Build: Assign a Module Builder to a module, then develop the programme, its modules and its final narrative.
  4. Review: Submit a fixed revision for internal review. Reviewers either confirm it or request changes.
  5. Approve: A Client Admin completes the formal QA approval of the reviewed revision.
  6. Finish: Record sign-off and produce the final controlled outputs.
  7. Manage: Use Portfolio to inspect approved revisions, publish public curriculum information, or open a later amendment or revalidation.

The programme state changes as it moves through this journey. Readiness checks show whether the content is complete enough for the next important action.

Every person has one organisation account role:

  • Client Admin: Manages the organisation, users, programme access, and formal QA approval.
  • Member: Works on programmes when given a programme responsibility or module assignment.

Programme responsibilities describe what a person does on a particular programme. Common examples are Programme Lead, Module Builder, Reviewer, and Viewer. A responsibility is not an organisation-wide role.

  • Overview shows your programmes and modules and a summary of current work.
  • Needs your attention shows actions waiting for you, including requested changes and review work.
  • Programmes opens programmes and modules you can access.
  • Portfolio lists approved programme revisions across your organisation.
  • Programme Team, inside an open programme, shows its responsibilities and module assignments.
  • Governance, inside an open programme, shows approval progress, blockers, governance actions, and controlled outputs.
